Dr. Tara Scott is a Certified Menopause Practitioner with Board Certifications in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Integrative Medicine, and the Academy of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine. Dr. Scott graduated from Northeast Ohio University College of Medicine and completed her residency with Summa Health Systems at Akron City Hospital in Ohio. After almost 20 years of practice, Dr. Scott retired from OB/GYN to focus on functional and integrative medicine, specializing in women’s hormones and menopause. Since retiring from OB/GYN, Dr. Scott started Akron’s first functional and integrative medicine practice, Revitalize Medical Group, where she serves as the Chief Medical Officer. In 2016, Dr. Scott was appointed as Medical Director for Summa Health in Akron, Ohio, where she is responsible for designing, developing, and running an Integrative Medicine Department in five hospital systems. Dr. Scott is also a Clinical Associate Professor at Northeast Ohio Medical University, where she teaches residents. Dr. Scott educates healthcare practitioners across the globe on the advances in evidence-based hormone therapy and is passionate about raising awareness about wellness and hormone balance.
Dr. Scott’s drive to stay ahead of the curve brings to you the latest findings in hormonal health that goes below the surface, targeting the root cause through use of advanced diagnostic tools and application of patient-tailored treatments for optimal therapeutic outcome. With Dr. Scott’s humor and analogies, complex health concepts become easy to understand and put into action. Outside of Dr. Scott’s busy medical practice and teachings, she enjoys running half marathons in every state, traveling, and being active. Dr. Scott is also the proud mother of three college-age children!
